Roommates
There’s something in the garage and it made a little squeak
I never got to see it, but it made my knees go weak!
I think it was a mouse, but it’s playing hide and seek
There’s something in the garage, Lucy dear!
There’s something in the attic and it made a mighty burrzz
I never got to see it, but it surely made me curse!
It might have been a hornet, or maybe something worse
There’s something in the attic, Lucy dear!
There’s something on the stairway and it’s climbing up the wall
This time I got to see it, and it made me feel quite small!
A giant widow spider, the fiercest of them all
There’s something on the stairway, Lucy dear!
There’s something in the kitchen and it’s made an awful smell
It finished off our dinner, then it didn’t feel too well!
It’s curled up in the corner, but its soul has gone to hell
There’s something in the kitchen, Lucy dear!
There’s something in the bedroom, hiding just beneath our bed
But when you turn the light out, it might clamber on your head
“They crawl inside your earhole”, that’s what somebody said
There’s something in the bedroom, Lucy dear!
Out came the vacuum cleaner and she hoovered day and night
From every nook and cranny sucking creatures out of sight
I have to say our mansion is looking clean and bright -
But I miss my little roommates, Lucy dear!
